Personal AI Accounting Tutor Online That Teaches the Method
Photograph the question and the tutor asks which accounts moved before it writes a single line. Debits and credits are a consequence of the accounting equation, and students who derive them stop guessing on unfamiliar transactions.
What is the AskSia AI accounting tutor?
The AskSia AI accounting tutor is a personal tutoring tool that teaches you to derive an entry rather than recall one. It opens with a hint about which accounts the transaction moved, walks the entry and its effect on the statements when you ask, closes with a question back to you, and builds quizzes weighted toward the transaction types you keep reversing. You can photograph a question, upload a workbook, drop in lecture slides or pull an assignment from your LMS. It covers the accounting equation, journal and adjusting entries, the three statements, inventory and depreciation, and introductory ratio analysis, and answers in eight languages. Students on the AskSia A+ plan are additionally covered by the Grade Confidence Guarantee. AskSia is a study aid, not an answer key.
Accounting exams are won on unfamiliar transactions, and unfamiliar transactions punish memorised rules. These three are where the marks go.
Memorising debit and credit instead of deriving it
Memorised rules collapse the moment the transaction is one you have not seen. The tutor asks which side of the accounting equation moved, which produces the right entry every time.
Mixing cash timing with accrual timing
The cash moving is not the event being recorded, and half of all adjusting entry errors start there. The tutor asks when the obligation arose before it asks about cash.
Writing an adjusting entry with both sides on one statement
Every adjusting entry touches one income statement account and one balance sheet account. The tutor checks that split before accepting the entry, which catches the error in one line.
Cuestionarios creados a partir de tus errores, no de un banco de preguntas
Your marks are not lost evenly, so your practice is not spread evenly. Try this one.
Qué cubre este tutor
Introductory financial accounting through to the statement preparation that carries most of the exam weight. Upload your slides and AskSia follows your course's standard, IFRS or US GAAP.
Heading toward professional exams? The same tutor covers CPA and CFA material. Studying the finance side instead? Start with finance.
Four things an accounting tutor does that a chat box does not
Conoce tu historial, no solo tu pregunta
Why memorised entries fail on unseen transactions
Every accounting exam contains a transaction the lecture did not use. A student who memorised entries has nothing to fall back on, while a student who derives from the accounting equation has the same tool they had all semester. The tutor refuses to lead with the entry, asking first which accounts moved and in which direction.
Personal here means it remembers which transaction type you keep reversing. If your journal entries are clean but the indirect cash flow reconciliation keeps failing, those are tracked separately, and revision weeks later opens on the second one. Connect your LMS once and it also picks up whether your course examines IFRS or US GAAP, which changes several answers outright.
It tutors in English, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, so you can reason through a transaction in your first language and still present the entry in the language of assessment.
Preguntas que los estudiantes realmente hacen
Does it just give me the journal entry?
No. It opens with a hint about which accounts the transaction moved, and writes the entry with you only when you ask. Each walkthrough ends with a variation put back to you, usually the same transaction one period later. You can request the finished entry at any point, but it will not lead with it.
Does it follow IFRS or US GAAP?
Both, and it uses whichever your course examines once your material is connected. Several answers differ between the two, including inventory cost flow and the treatment of development costs, so this is not a cosmetic setting.
Can it check a set of financial statements I prepared?
Yes. Upload the workbook or photograph the page and it traces the figures back through the trial balance, telling you the first line where the numbers stopped agreeing rather than rebuilding the statements for you.
Does it help with the statement of cash flows?
Yes, and the indirect method reconciliation is one of the most requested walkthroughs. It works line by line through the adjustments and asks you to classify each movement before it is added.
Can it help me prepare for CPA or CFA?
The same tutor covers that material, and there are dedicated CPA and CFA pages built around the exam formats and blueprints.
Is using an AI accounting tutor allowed?
AskSia is built as a study aid, not an answer key. Using it to understand an entry, check where your own working went wrong, or generate extra practice sits in the same category as a tutorial. Assessment rules differ, so check your own faculty's AI policy before using any tool on graded work.
