How are people sure evolution is actually true? A common criticism of evolutionary theory is that it violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics! Sure, we share similar bones and such, but, what if it was a conincidence? Another thing is that evolution should be happening right now if it's true. Your skull should be different looking than your great-great-great grandma alberta and vice versa. Plus, Darwin only suggested evolution is possible, he didn't promote it.

Answer
The theory of evolution is supported by extensive scientific evidence, including fossil records, genetic similarities, and observed instances of natural selection. The Second Law of Thermodynamics does not contradict evolution because the Earth is not a closed system; it receives energy from the sun, which drives the processes of life. Evolution is a gradual process, and significant changes in skull structure over a few generations are not expected. Charles Darwin did indeed promote the theory of evolution by natural selection, which has been further supported and refined by subsequent scientific research.
Key Concept
Scientific evidence supports evolution
Explanation
Fossil records, genetic similarities, and observed natural selection provide strong evidence for evolution. The Second Law of Thermodynamics does not apply to open systems like Earth, which receives energy from the sun. Evolution is a gradual process, and significant changes in physical traits over a few generations are not expected. Darwin promoted the theory of evolution by natural selection, which has been further validated by modern science.
