2.1 Course Setup

• Create a dedicated course folder in AskSia for each course you want to track
• Upload most of your course materials including:
  • Lecture recordings or detailed notes
  • Slides and readings
  • Homework and assignments
  • Exam prep materials

Minimum threshold: At least 75% of major course materials uploaded

2.2 Consistent Usage

• Study regularly throughout the semester using AskSia
• Minimum activity: Use AskSia at least 3 days per week, for at least 15 weeks total
• Feature usage: Use at least 3 different AskSia features (e.g., AI Q&A, summaries, flashcards, transcription)

What counts as “active use”:

• Asking questions about your course materials
• Generating summaries or study guides
• Creating/reviewing flashcards
• Getting AI help on assignments
• Reviewing lecture transcripts

What we track: AskSia automatically logs your usage. We can see:

• How often you use the platform
• Which features you use
• Which courses you're working on
• Time spent studying

2.3 Stay Subscribed

• Keep your A+ subscription active for the entire academic term
• Downgrading, pausing, or canceling mid-semester voids your eligibility
• If you need to adjust your plan, contact support first

3.1 Setting Your Baseline

When you enroll a course in the guarantee program, you'll declare a baseline grade representing your starting point:

Acceptable baselines:

• Your grade in the most recent prerequisite course
• Your first graded assignment/exam in the current course (if available)
• Your cumulative GPA in similar courses

Example scenarios:

• “I got a C+ in Calc I, now taking Calc II” → Baseline is C+
• “My midterm in Biology was a B-” → Baseline is B-
• “I typically get B's in humanities courses” → Baseline is B

Important: Be honest. We may request transcripts or grade documentation to verify baselines.

3.2 Success Criteria

Your guarantee outcome is evaluated at the end of the semester. You're considered successful (no refund needed) if:

Option A: Achieve an A or A-

• Final course grade is A or A-
• Regardless of baseline

Option B: Improve by 1+ letter grades

• Your final grade is at least one full letter grade higher than your baseline
• Examples:
  • C+ → B+ or higher ✓
  • B → A- or higher ✓
  • B+ → A- or higher ✓

Note on grade scales:

• Full letter grades: A, B, C, D, F
• Plus/minus are half-steps (e.g., B+ to A- is one full grade)

4.1 Full Refund (100%)

You receive a 100% refund of all A+ subscription fees paid during the semester if:

• ✓ You met all usage requirements (75% materials, 3x/week usage, stayed subscribed)
• ✓ Your final grade is below A-
• ✓ You did NOT improve by 1+ letter grades from baseline

4.2 Partial Refund (50%)

You receive a 50% refund if:

• ✓ You met all usage requirements
• ✓ Your final grade stayed exactly the same as baseline
• ✓ Your final grade is below A-

Example:

4.3 No Refund

No refund is issued if:

• You achieved an A or A- (success!)
• You improved by 1+ letter grades (success!)
• Usage requirements weren't met (<75% materials, inconsistent usage)
• Subscription was canceled or downgraded mid-semester
• Course was withdrawn, dropped, or graded Pass/Fail

Q: Do I need to apply in advance?

A: No. If you're on A+ and use the platform consistently, you're automatically eligible.

Q: Can I track my compliance score?

A: Yes. Check your account dashboard under "Guarantee Tracking."

Q: What if I'm taking 5 courses but only want to track 2?

A: That's fine. Create dedicated folders for those 2 courses and focus your usage there.

Q: Do I need to prove I studied?

A: No. We track everything automatically through usage logs.

Q: What if my professor curves grades?

A: We evaluate based on your final letter grade, regardless of curve.

Q: Can I get a refund for just one month?

A: No. This is a semester-long guarantee. You get refunded for the full semester if you qualify.
