Why a finished antiderivative teaches nothing

Nobody loses calculus marks because they cannot differentiate a polynomial. They lose them because they spent twelve minutes on parts when the integral was a substitution. The tutor leads with the classification, not the result, so the decision you actually have to make in the exam is the one you practise.
