Why the SAT is a pattern exam
The same question forms and the same distractor types reappear across every administration. A student who names the form answers faster and more accurately than one who reasons from first principles each time. The tutor asks for the type before anything else.
Personal here means it remembers which type keeps failing rather than which topic. Missing inference questions is a different problem from missing algebra, and only one of them is fixed by content study.
