The topic information published for the semester each guide names, which Flinders makes available through FLO once you are enrolled. Weights and due dates can change between offerings, so treat each table as the offering it came from and confirm your own on FLO.
Flinders policy allows hurdle requirements only by exception. If you fail a hurdle activity worth 20 per cent or more you are given one chance to resubmit, with the resubmitted mark capped at 50 per cent, or a non graded pass for a non graded hurdle. Supplementary assessment requires all non graded hurdles to be passed first.
Flinders defines swot vac as the period, usually one week, before exams and major assessments are due, when there are no classes. Guides that cover a final exam say which activities fall after swot vac.
Flinders uses a seven point scale. Each grade's value is multiplied by the topic's unit value, usually 4.5, the products are summed across topics and divided by the total units. A High Distinction is 85 to 100 in a topic.
