From the course profile for the trimester each guide names. Section 5 of a Griffith course profile is the assessment plan, and any mandatory pass component is written into it by the system rather than by hand, so the profile is the document our tables are checked against.
Griffith's term for an assessment hurdle. A mandatory pass component sets a minimum level of performance on a task as a condition of passing the course, usually to guarantee a core skill or to satisfy professional accreditation. Program directors are expected to keep their use consistent across a degree.
The academic calendar sets aside study days between the end of teaching and the exam period; in June 2026 the study days run 1 to 3 June and Trimester 1 exams from 4 to 13 June. Guides covering an exam place it within that pattern.
Griffith grades each course from 1 to 7, with 7 the highest. Your GPA multiplies each grade by the course's credit points, sums the products and divides by the credit points completed, so a 7 in a 10 credit point course weighs the same as a 7 in any other 10 credit point course.
