Diagnose your real starting point
Take a short diagnostic. Sia returns a PSAT score range and maps your strengths and gaps across the skill domains the test actually reports.
Set your target score and find out when your school is testing. Sia plans every day in between, with PSAT practice tests and coaching on every mistake. Free on Mac and Windows.
Move the sliders. Sia forecasts the gain and maps the days.
The PSAT/NMSQT® is the digital, adaptive practice run for the SAT, and for eligible 11th graders it is also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. It takes 2 hours 14 minutes, has 98 scored questions, and is scored from 320 to 1520.
Format, windows and scoring are set by the College Board. AskSia is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the College Board or the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Confirm your school's exact test day with your counsellor. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.
For eligible 11th graders the PSAT/NMSQT is not practice. It is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program, and qualification runs off a Selection Index rather than your headline score. Sia tracks both numbers separately from your first diagnostic, so you always know which one your plan is actually moving.
Selection Index cutoffs are set and published by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation after each cycle. Any figure quoted before results, here or anywhere else, is an estimate from previous years. AskSia is not affiliated with, endorsed by or reviewed by the College Board or the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Three steps turn your current score, target and testing week into a plan that changes as you improve. It takes about three minutes and it is free.

Choose your target score and the week your school is testing. Sia forecasts a realistic gain and assigns every study day between now and then.
Work exam-format questions. Every miss produces coaching on the specific trap you fell for, then tomorrow's plan changes around the result.
One question in the PSAT/NMSQT Reading and Writing format, worked through the way the answer key reads it, with the point that goes missing flagged at each step.
In a long-running survey of an alpine meadow, researchers found that a native wildflower now opens its blooms about eleven days earlier in the season than herbarium specimens collected at the same sites in the 1960s. The moth that pollinates it, however, still emerges in the same week of the year that it always has.
The text ends with a blank. Which conclusion do those two findings, taken together, most directly support?
Reading and Writing: Inferences, one of the four tested domains. Written by AskSia in the published digital test format. This is not a College Board question, and AskSia does not reproduce official questions or past papers.
AskSia handles the whole PSAT prep loop instead of giving you another pile of questions.
Sia plans backwards from your target score and your school's testing week. Finish early, fall behind, or fix a skill and the next session changes automatically.
When you miss, Sia names the specific wrong answer you chose and explains the trap: the misread, the partial calculation, or the plausible wrong step.
Practise in a full-screen test interface with timing, mark-for-review, figures and tables, and the two-module adaptive structure the real test uses.
AskSia writes questions to the published digital format, then selects the ones you personally need. Every result updates your forecast and the next block of days.
Your diagnostic maps the skill domains. Sia selects questions at your difficulty band in the skills where you are losing points.
Two Reading and Writing modules and two Math modules, timed and module-adaptive like the real test.
Drill a single section when that is the gap, or let Sia choose based on where points are leaking.
The free tier includes the diagnostic, your plan, exam-format questions and per-mistake coaching.
Every AskSia question is written by AskSia to the published exam format. We do not reproduce or resell official questions or past papers. PSAT/NMSQT® is a registered trademark of the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, neither of which is affiliated with AskSia.
Web apps hand you a question dump. Human tutors cost thousands. Official prep has no coaching. AskSia is a different category.
Sia diagnoses, sets a target, builds the plan, drills you and re-plans around your weakest skills.
vs. type-a-question toolsFull-screen practice, figures, timing, mark-for-review and a live score forecast selected for your gaps.
vs. flattened text dumpsSia explains why the specific wrong answer looked right to you, not only which letter was correct.
vs. “the answer is C”Prep on the free tier, then open the full bank and all practice tests for a one-time price.
vs. $80 to $200/hour tutorsThe test is full-screen and timed. AskSia is built as a real app on your machine, with your notes and study history available.
Full-screen exam mode with a timer and mark-for-review. Practise the way you will actually sit the test.
Add a score report, screenshot, worksheet or PDF. Sia finds patterns in your errors and folds them into the plan.
Your plan and question bank stay on the machine so you can drill in a library, in class, or on a plane.
Open today's session without finding a tab or deciding what to study. That is how students keep a streak.
Sia has supported coursework, lectures and revision across more than 2,000 universities and high schools. PSAT prep uses the same agent, pointed at one test.

Reviews published verbatim from the Apple App Store. They describe AskSia as a study agent rather than PSAT outcomes specifically. Results depend on your starting point, your test date and the hours you put in.

The PSAT is not a national test date. College Board publishes a window, your school picks a day inside it, and the school handles registration. Find your date from your counsellor, then let Sia build backwards from it.

Windows are published by the College Board and can change. Your school sets the exact day and handles sign-up, so confirm with your test coordinator rather than the College Board site. About $18 to $30, often covered or subsidised by the school. Fee waivers are available for eligible students.
The two tests share a format, a scale design and a skill map, which is why PSAT results are the cleanest early read on where an SAT plan should start. Sia carries your PSAT skill map straight into the SAT plan rather than making you diagnose twice.

Deep guides cover the PSAT skill by skill with worked questions. Read them in the browser; the agent decides which ones you need.
Sia starts from the score you need and the week you need it by, then works backwards. If you fall behind, tomorrow changes. If a skill is fixed, it stops appearing.
One flat price for the complete PSAT plan. No subscription and no hourly meter.
Less than one hour with a private tutor. One-time payment, no renewal.
Prep should improve learning without pretending to be official material or promising impossible gains.
Questions follow the published format but do not reproduce official questions, past papers or retired content.
Your plan, files and performance are handled under AskSia's privacy and security controls.
Sia uses score ranges and tells you when a target is a stretch instead of promising a guaranteed result.
AskSia does not promise a specific score or publish invented gains. Forecasts update from your own work and remain projections, not guarantees. AskSia is not affiliated with, endorsed by or reviewed by the College Board.
