Choose the ACT
Pick your exam and Sia loads the Enhanced ACT planner: a 1 to 36 composite across English, Math and Reading. A short diagnostic then sets your real starting range.
Set your target composite and test date. Sia plans every day in between, with ACT practice tests at real pacing and coaching on every mistake. Free on Mac and Windows.
Move the sliders. Sia forecasts the gain and maps the days.
The core Enhanced ACT takes about 2 hours 5 minutes: English, Math and Reading, with Science now optional and scored separately. The composite runs 1 to 36 and averages the three core sections. The next national test date is Saturday 19 September 2026.
Exam format and dates are set by ACT, Inc. AskSia is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACT, Inc. Always confirm dates, deadlines and test options on the official ACT site before you register.
Three steps turn your current composite, target and test date into a plan that changes as you improve. It takes about three minutes and it is free.
Pick your exam and Sia loads the Enhanced ACT planner: a 1 to 36 composite across English, Math and Reading. A short diagnostic then sets your real starting range.
Drag where you are and where you are going. Sia forecasts the gain, your weekly pace and how many practice exams fit the window, and tells you plainly whether the target is realistic.
Four phases: Diagnose, Foundation Build, Targeted Drill, Final Mocks. Every day is a named session, a prediction exam is scheduled for your exact test date, and each result rewrites tomorrow.
One question in the ACT English format, worked through the way the answer key reads it, with the point that goes missing flagged at each step.
A passage contains this sentence, with one portion underlined for replacement. The hand-drawn maps in the museum’s new wing are extremely fragile and delicate, so they are displayed under low light and rotated out of the case every three months. Alongside NO CHANGE, the replacements offered are fragile, of a fragile and delicate nature, and delicate as well as fragile.
Nothing underlined is ungrammatical. So what is the error, and which replacement does the answer key want?
ACT English: Knowledge of Language, one of the reporting categories on the Enhanced ACT. Written by AskSia to the published Enhanced ACT format. AskSia does not reproduce official ACT questions or past papers.
Most tools hand you questions and leave. AskSia plans, drills, coaches and re-plans, the way a great private tutor would, for a fraction of the price.
Your plan isn't a static PDF. Sia splits your run into four phases (Diagnose, Foundation Build, Targeted Drill, Final Mocks), then re-forecasts your score after every session and reshuffles tomorrow around your weakest skills.
Ana drives 120 miles to campus at 30 miles per hour and returns along the same route at 50 miles per hour. What is her average speed, in miles per hour, for the round trip?
You averaged the two speeds. But she spends more time at 30 mph, so the trip is weighted toward the slower leg. Average speed = total distance ÷ total time = 240 ÷ (4 + 2.4) = 37.5. No formula sheet on the ACT; the check is total ÷ total, every time.
Every well-written ACT question has wrong answers engineered to tempt a specific mistake. When you miss, Sia names the exact wrong answer you chose and explains the trap you fell for: the misread, the partial calculation, the plausible but wrong step.
Full-screen test interface, real section timing, four answer choices, and no formula sheet: routine formulas are on you, and when an unusual one is needed it appears inside the item, exactly like the real ACT. Every question is written by AskSia and picked for the skills you are losing points on.
Web apps hand you a question dump. Human tutors cost thousands. Official prep has no coaching. AskSia is a different category.
Sia diagnoses, sets a target, builds the plan, drills you at real pacing, and re-plans around your weakest skills. vs. type-a-question tools
Full-screen practice with real section timing, four-choice Math and a live composite forecast, selected for your gaps. vs. flattened question dumps
Sia explains why the specific wrong answer looked right to you, not only which letter was correct. vs. "the answer is C"
Prep on the free tier, then get the complete bank and all practice tests for a one-time price. vs. $80-200/hour tutors
AskSia writes its own questions to the published Enhanced ACT format, then picks the ones you personally need. Two students on the same day get different sets, because they are failing at different things. A practice test here scores you, names the trap, and rewrites the next block of days.
Your diagnostic maps you across every English, Math and Reading skill. Sia then selects and generates questions at your level, in the skills you are actually losing points on. Fix a skill and it stops appearing. That is the whole point of an agent.
English gives you about 42 seconds a question; Math and Reading about 66. Sia drills you at real section pacing, shows where you burn time, and trains the skip-and-return decisions that protect a composite.
English, Math and Reading on the real clock, with four-choice Math and optional Science. Full-screen, timed, mark for review. Same format, same pressure, plus a composite and section score at the end.
The free tier includes the diagnostic, your plan, and personalised practice questions with per-mistake coaching. The complete bank and all full-length practice tests come with the one-time $79 upgrade.
About our questions. Every AskSia question is written by AskSia and generated or selected for the individual student. We do not use, reproduce or resell official ACT questions, past papers or retired exam content. What we match is the published exam format: the same sections, question types, timing and answer-choice structure, including four-choice Math. ACT® is a registered trademark of ACT, Inc., which is not affiliated with AskSia and does not endorse, sponsor or review it. We recommend using AskSia alongside the free official practice, not instead of it.
The ACT gives you well under a minute per question. AskSia is built the way you will sit it: a real app on your machine, timed like the real thing, with your notes and your history in it.
Full-screen exam mode with a timer, mark for review and no tab switching. Practice the way you will actually sit it.
Drop in a school practice test, a screenshot, a worksheet or a PDF. Sia marks it, finds the pattern in your errors and folds it into your plan.
Drill on a plane, in a library, in a class with no wifi. Your plan and your question bank live on the machine.
Today's session is one click from your dock or taskbar. No login, no tab, no deciding what to study. That is why students keep the streak.

Every national ACT date in the 2026 to 2027 testing year. Registration closes about five weeks before each test, much earlier than the SAT, so the date decision comes first. Pick yours, and Sia builds the plan backwards from it.

Dates and deadlines are set by ACT, Inc. and can change; all deadlines close at 11:59 pm Central Time, and late registration carries an added fee. The July date is not offered in New York. Confirm everything on the official ACT site before registering. AskSia is not affiliated with ACT, Inc.

Colleges accept both equally. The real question is which test fits how you think under a clock. Here is the honest five-minute version.

Fast and steady under time pressure, and comfortable with a science-style section? The ACT usually suits you. Prefer fewer questions with more thinking time? Look at the SAT. The most reliable way to decide is a timed section of each; Sia can run both and tell you where you score higher.
Most prep tools hand you material and hope. Sia starts from the number you need and the date you need it by, then works backwards. If you fall behind the curve, tomorrow gets harder. If a skill is fixed, it stops appearing. The plan is accountable to your goal, every single day.
One flat price for the full Enhanced ACT plan. No subscription, no per-hour meter.
Less than one hour with a private tutor. One-time payment, no renewal.
ACT prep should improve learning without pretending to be official material or promising impossible gains. Here is where our questions, our estimates and our claims come from.
Every AskSia question is written in house against the published Enhanced ACT format: the same sections, question types, timing and answer-choice structure, including four-choice Math. Then it is generated or selected for the individual student, so the set you drill is not the set anyone else drills. We do not use, reproduce or resell official ACT questions or past papers, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by ACT, Inc.
Your diagnostic gives a score range, not a point estimate, because a 25 minute sample cannot pin a 1 to 36 composite to a single point. The forecast on this page is a projection from typical gains at your starting band and your available hours. It is a projection, not a promise, and inside the app it is recalculated from your own results after every session.
We do not promise a specific score. Nobody honestly can: your result depends on your starting point, your test date and the hours you actually put in. What we commit to is a plan built backwards from your target, a forecast that updates after every session, and an honest warning when a gap is too wide for the date you picked.
We do not publish composite testimonials, invented score gains or an average point lift we cannot evidence. When we have enough verified before and after ACT score reports to publish a real average, we will publish the method with it.
