Which AskSia should I use?

Products · Updated June 2026

AskSia comes in six different surfaces: the web app, the mobile app, the Chrome extension, the desktop agent, WordJump, and the Library. The good news is you don't have to choose between them. One account and one subscription unlock all six, so this isn't about which one to buy — it's about picking the best tool for the moment. Here's how to decide.

If you want to… → use…

  • The best web experience → the Chrome web app.
  • To study on your phone → the mobile app.
  • To pull in your LMS course content (lectures, syllabi, materials) → the Chrome extension.
  • To process a .zip or a format the web app won't take, or to run standardized-test mock exams and study planning → the desktop agent.
  • To drill vocabulary → WordJump.
  • To find high-quality reference material → the Library.

The web app — your home base

The web app at asksia.ai is the full studio, and it's best experienced in Chrome. Bring in 30+ files at once — photos, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, MP3, MP4, even YouTube links — and Sia transcribes and translates audio and video in real time, remembers your materials over time, and cites the source of every answer. One click turns a document into a summary, flashcards, a quiz, a clean Sia Note, or a visual map. If you're at a desk, start here.

The mobile app — study anywhere

The mobile app (iOS and Android, and it runs on iPad too) is light and simple, with essentially the same feature set as the web app. Same account, same subscription. Reach for it when you want to study between classes, on the bus, or anywhere you don't have your laptop open.

The Chrome extension — your LMS, connected

The Chrome extension brings AskSia into the learning platform you already use and syncs your course content in one click — courses, syllabi, recorded lectures, and materials. It supports Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace (D2L), Moodle, Everytime, echo360, and CyberCampus. If your lectures and readings live in your LMS, let the extension pull them in rather than hand-uploading recordings.

The desktop agent — the power tool

The desktop agent (Mac and Windows) is the heavy lifter. It can read almost any file or format and do almost anything, so it's where things the web app can't take — like .zip archives — belong. It's also home to standardized-test mock exams and study planning. When a file won't upload elsewhere, or you're prepping for a standardized test, this is your surface. See the pages for Mac and Windows.

WordJump — vocabulary as a game

WordJump turns vocabulary practice into a Doodle-Jump-style game: you bounce upward by picking the right meaning, so memorizing words is fast and genuinely fun. Use it when you just want to lock in words, not study a whole course.

The Library — better answers, grounded

The AskSia Library is a curated collection of high-quality undergraduate, graduate, and standardized-test study material. Sia indexes the Library while you chat to raise the quality and accuracy of its answers, so you benefit from it even when you don't open it directly. Browse it when you want trusted reference material on a topic.
