Where do the assessment items on these QUT pages come from?
From the unit outline for the teaching period each guide names. QUT's Unit and Module Information Policy requires any special conditions of assessment, including threshold conditions and the consequences of missing them, to appear in the outline, so that is the document our tables are checked against.
What is a threshold assessment condition at QUT?
QUT's term for a hurdle. Some units set a condition a student must meet to receive a passing grade, and the unit outline must state the requirement and what happens if it is not met. Guides mark those items so you can plan around them.
What is swotvac at QUT?
The study period between the end of the teaching period and the start of exams. QUT's assessment procedure says assessment items must not fall due in that window, so it is reserved for revision. Guides covering a final exam say which items sit in the exam period.
How is a QUT GPA calculated?
Each unit is graded from 1 to 7. The GPA multiplies each grade by the unit's credit points, sums those products and divides by the credit points completed, so four 12 credit point units graded 7, 4, 6 and 3 give a GPA of 5.
