MPT · Grade guarantee on the A+ plan

Personal AI MPT Tutor Online That Teaches the Reasoning the Exam Marks

Paste the task memo and the tutor asks what document you are being asked to produce and for whom, because the MPT supplies all the law you need and scores you on lawyering rather than on recall.

Quick answer

What is the AskSia AI MPT tutor?

The AskSia AI MPT tutor is a personal tutoring tool for the Multistate Performance Test. It asks what document the task memo requests and who the audience is, works through organising the file and library with you when you ask, and puts a variation back to you under the same time limit. It covers reading the task memo, working within a closed universe of materials, organising facts, applying the supplied authority, objective and persuasive writing, common task formats and time management. It answers in eight languages. Students on the AskSia A+ plan are covered by the Grade Confidence Guarantee. AskSia is a study aid, not an answer key, is not affiliated with the NCBE, and is not legal advice.

How a session runs

Four stages, the way a tutor actually works

A solver ends when the answer appears. Tutoring ends when you can do the next one alone.

1
Hint

A nudge, not a solution

It points at the broken step and hands the problem back for your next move.

2
Walkthrough

Line by line, with the picture

Ask for more and it works through the method line by line, not just the final result.

3
Checkpoint

It asks you one back

A short question makes sure the next step belongs to you before you move on.

4
Quiz

It comes back later

Weak topics return later, when retrieval is more likely to make the method stick.

You need the answer now

It is 11pm and the set is due

Use the solver for a complete worked solution when the deadline is the priority.

Use the problem solver
You need to be able to do it

The exam is in three weeks

The tutor is slower on purpose, because it leaves a method behind for the next problem.

Where the marks go

Three habits that cost marks every semester

MPT scores are lost on the task instructions rather than on legal ability. These three account for most of it.

01

Writing the wrong document

An objective memo submitted when a persuasive brief was requested loses marks throughout regardless of quality. The tutor asks what document and what audience before anything is drafted.

02

Importing outside law

The library supplies the authority, and adding remembered doctrine signals that the supplied materials were not used. The tutor asks which library case your rule came from.

03

Summarising the file instead of using it

Facts earn credit when they are applied to the rule, not when they are recounted. The tutor asks which fact satisfies which element.

Practice and tracking

Quizzes built from your mistakes, not a question bank

Your marks are not lost evenly, so your practice is not spread evenly. Try this one.

From your weak topicsTASK INSTRUCTIONS
The task memo asks for a persuasive brief section arguing for the client. You write a balanced objective analysis. What happens?
Why this answer. Why B. The MPT tests whether you can produce the document a supervising lawyer asked for, so document type, audience and tone are part of what is scored. A strong objective analysis in place of a requested brief demonstrates the wrong skill, which is why the first thing to do is read the task memo twice.
Long-response questions are graded on the reasoning in each step, not only the final value.

Tutoring, not a chat box

Four things an exam tutor does that a chat box does not

It knows your history, not just your question

Your next session starts with the steps that have actually been difficult, not a generic recap of the whole topic again.

It draws the diagram, not just the algebra

Diagrams are labelled and built beside every step of the working, because visual reasoning can earn marks in its own right.

It finds the first wrong line in your own working

Bring an attempt that went wrong. It finds the first step where the method changed course, then teaches that step.

It examines you the way your course does

Long-response questions need practice shaped like your own paper, not a multiple-choice bank.

Why this works

Why memorised law does not help here

This component supplies the authority deliberately, so knowledge is not what is being measured. What is measured is whether you can read a task, use a closed set of materials and produce the document requested within the time. The tutor trains that sequence rather than doctrine.

Personal here means it remembers which part of the sequence keeps slipping. Strong analysis with weak instruction following is a specific and very common pattern, and it is quickly fixable once named.

It works in English, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, which matters for internationally trained candidates.

Questions

Questions students actually ask

Do I need to memorise law for the MPT?

No. The library supplies the authority you need, and importing outside law is generally not rewarded. The skills are reading the task, using the materials and producing the document requested.

Can it review a practice answer?

Yes. Paste it with the task memo and it checks document type, structure and whether each rule statement is traceable to the library.

Does it cover all the task formats?

Yes, including memos, persuasive briefs, client letters, contract provisions and discovery plans.

Does it help with timing?

Yes, including how much of the time to spend reading and planning before writing, which is where most candidates misallocate.

Is AskSia affiliated with the NCBE?

No. AskSia is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the NCBE.

Is this legal advice?

No. This is an educational tool for exam preparation only and is not legal advice.
