Connect echo360 to AskSia

If your school records lectures, echo360 is probably where they live. Connecting it to AskSia is the single most useful thing you can do for any course that has video material — the tutor can cite directly from a lecture you missed, build a recap, or pull out a five-bullet summary of the part you didn't catch.

Connecting echo360

1. From AskSia, open Settings → Integrations.
2. Click Connect echo360.
3. Sign in with your echo360 account — most schools use the same SSO as your main LMS, so this is usually one click.
4. Approve the read-only access. AskSia gets permission to read the recordings and transcripts you have access to — nothing more.
5. Your active courses appear, with a small video icon next to each recorded session.

What you can do once it's in

• Ask the tutor to summarize a lecture you missed.
• Generate a transcript-grounded cheat sheet directly from a recording.
• Jump to the exact timestamp where your professor introduced a concept you're confused about.
• Build a Library pack that includes the relevant lecture clips for a specific topic.

Transcripts and accuracy

echo360 generates transcripts automatically, and they're usually solid — but they're not perfect, especially on technical terms or in lectures with heavy background noise. AskSia treats the transcript as the primary source and the audio as the fallback. If something looks off in a citation, you can click straight through to the original timestamp and check.

The catch

You can only see what your school's echo360 admin has given you permission to see. If a recording is restricted to enrolled students in a specific course section, AskSia respects that. If your professor disabled recording for a class, there's nothing to pull.
