The Grade Confidence Guarantee, explained

The Grade Confidence Guarantee is a special program for A+ Plan subscribers: if you study with AskSia across a full term and still fall short of your grade target, you may be eligible for a refund. It's a semester-long, grade-based guarantee, and it's offered in addition to our standard billing terms — not as a replacement for them. What it is

Most refunds at AskSia are about billing — for example, getting some money back if you subscribed but never used the product. The Grade Confidence Guarantee is different. It's a promise tied to your grade over a whole semester: if you put the work in with AskSia and still don't reach the target grade, you can ask for a refund of your A+ subscription. Because it's grade-based and term-long, it comes with its own eligibility and usage rules, all spelled out below.

Important: this is not the same as our standard refund. For everyday billing questions — auto-renewals, the 50% refund if you subscribed but haven't used AskSia, App Store charges, and annual-plan credit — see How to request a refund. Who's eligible

To be eligible for the Grade Confidence Guarantee, all of the following must be true:

• You're an A+ Plan subscriber (it's the top tier — see Plans & pricing, explained).
• You're a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited institution.
• Your A+ subscription is active for the full term, for a minimum of 3 months.

How you qualify during the term

Eligibility gets you in the door; qualifying is about how you actually use AskSia over the semester. To keep the guarantee in force, you need to meet all of these usage requirements:

• Upload at least 75% of your major course materials into AskSia.
• Use AskSia at least 3 days a week for at least 15 weeks.
• Use at least 3 different AskSia features (for example, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and Sia Note).
• Keep your A+ subscription active for the whole term.
• Declare a baseline grade at the start — this can be a prior course, your first exam, or your cumulative GPA in similar courses.

The baseline matters, because the guarantee measures your final result against where you started.

The target

You hit the target if, by the end of the term, you either:

• Finish the course with an A or A−, or
• Improve by at least one full letter grade from your declared baseline.

Reach either one and you've met the goal — congratulations, that's the outcome the program is designed for.

What you get if you fall short

If you met all the usage requirements but still didn't reach the target, the guarantee can refund 50% to 100% of your A+ subscription — and how much depends on how far you fell short of your goal:

• The closer your result is to the no-progress end — that is, you didn't improve over the baseline you declared — the more of your subscription you get back, up toward a full (roughly 100%) refund.
• If you did improve from your baseline but still finished below the A/A− target, you're partway there, so the refund lands toward the 50% end.
• There's no refund in two cases: you hit the target (an A or A−, or a full letter-grade improvement), or you didn't meet the usage requirements above.

In short: the further you came up short despite doing the work, the larger the refund, scaling from about 50% up to a full refund. If you reached your goal, or didn't use AskSia the way the program requires, a refund doesn't apply. How to claim

If you believe you qualify for a refund, follow these steps:

1. Within 14 days of your grade being released, email guarantee@asksia.ai.
2. Include your official final grade for the course.
3. AskSia reviews your claim within 30 days.
4. Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days of approval.
