Where do the point splits on these Illinois guides come from?
From the syllabus for the section and term the guide names. Illinois syllabi usually score in points rather than percentages, so each guide shows the published point table and the share of the total it represents, and names the file it was read from.
Does an A+ count more than an A at Illinois?
Not on the transcript. Illinois uses a four point system with plus and minus grades, and both A+ and A carry 4.00 grade points, with A minus at 3.67 and the scale running down to D minus at 0.67. The distinction between A+ and A is set by the instructor, so guides quote the cutoffs only where the syllabus prints them.
When are finals at Illinois?
Fall 2026 finals run from December 11 to December 17, with Veterinary Medicine and Law allowed to extend to December 18. Non combined exams are three hours long and are placed by the first class meeting time on Monday or Tuesday; a course whose first weekly meeting is Wednesday to Friday gets a time arranged by the instructor. Instructors post the details to Course Explorer by October 14.
What if my exams clash?
The Registrar tells students to check with their instructors for final exam information at all times, and the conflict rules are applied through them. Guides list the exam date and format the syllabus gives so you can spot a clash before the schedule is final.
Is AskSia part of the University of Illinois?
No. AskSia has no affiliation with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Each guide is an independent study aid written from the syllabus and materials it cites, and every point value names the section and term it belongs to.
